Corona in Indonesia
Just like in the rest of the world, Indonesia has also been affected by the COVID 19 virus.

It is possible to obtain a Visa on Arrival on Bali, Jakarta, Makassar, Menado, Medan en Surabaya for 43 nationalities including the following nationalities:
- Brunei Darussalam
- New Zealand
- South Korea
- United Arab Emirates
- United Kingdom
- United States of America
The visa costs Rp. 500,000 and is valid for 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival.
The following measures also apply:
- You must show that you have been vaccinated and that you received the last vaccination more than 14 days before departure
- Register your vaccination at the website of the Indonesian Ministry of Health: https://vaksinln.dto.kemkes.go.id/sign/in. You will receive a QR Code which can be used to enter restaurants and other public places. When you arrive at the airport you can get help, if you like, with this registration.
- Only when you are not fully vaccinated there is a 5×25 hours quarantine period in a hotel (you have booked)

For domestic flights, the rules are a little more stricter since July 17, 2022.
Only for fully vaccinated travelers (3 times vaccinated including the booster) it is not necessary to take a PCR test for departure. For 6 to 17 year old travelers 2 vaccinations are sufficient.
With an incomplete vaccination schedule it is possible to travel after a negative test.
Some airlines indicate that for foreign tourists who take a connecting domestic flight after arrival or before departure from Indonesia, the rules that apply to be admitted to Indonesia are applied.
