The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has taken effect on 25 May 2018. This legislation aims to protect the privacy of all citizens of the European Union.
As a driver/guide I know my guests are mindful about their privacy and (regardless of the legislation or your nationality) I always deal carefully with the trust you put in me. I am responsible for the processing and protection of the personal data that you entrust to me.
The GDPR is a good occasion to explain how I deal with your personal data. The GDPR asks me to explain, which data I receive, why I receive this data and how I handle and protect your personal data:
Which and why?
In order to respond to your questions, I will receive your name and e-mail address. You often give me your telephone number.
I need this information so that you can use my services. I cannot contact you without this information. I can also use this information to inform you about developments that may be useful to you.
You often send me information about your itinerary and/or the family you want to search for or visit. You give me this information so I can serve you well.
The information that I receive from you will not be stored longer than necessary for good service and I will not share this information with others without your permission.
The moment you use my services and I work for you as a driver/guide, it is possible that I will get to know more privacy-sensitive information. Obviously, I will not process or share this information without your consent.
If, for example, you want me to book your hotels, or if you want me to book a restaurant for you, I will have to share some information with these hotels /restaurants etc. This will only happen on your request. Furthermore, I only provide information to third parties if this is required based on a legal obligation.
I will make sure that also my colleagues, for example if a colleague driver (in consultation with you) will perform the service, will comply with the privacy rules.
The protection of your personal data
I take the protection of your personal data seriously and do everything to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
The website is secured with an SSL certificate and I use a Dutch-based provider, who hosts the website on their own servers in the Netherlands. My e-mail has a unique password and is hosted by the same Dutch provider.
Cookies or similar techniques
In order to see how many visitors visit my website and from which countries these visitors are, I use Google Analytics. I understand that Google Analytics in this case uses analytical cookies that do not infringe upon your privacy.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing and you have the right to “data portability”. (This means that you can ask me to send the personal data that I have, to you, or at your request, to another person.)
Based on the regulation you have the possibility to lodge a complaint with your national supervisor, if you live in a European country.
You can send a request for access, correction, removal or data transfer of your personal data to dadangsupardi@indonesiatour.nl
If you still have questions about how your privacy is protected, please let me know, so I can respond.
You can count on me!
