Kawah Rengganis hot springs

Near Kawah Putih you can visit the Kawah Rengganis hot springs, where you can bathe or take a mud bath. You can also swim in the river, complete with waterfalls.

The springs are located near the main road in the forest. Here, natural pools of different temperatures have been built. Some pools have bamboo pipes which function as a shower.

You can take a medicinal mud bath here, which is said to be beneficial for your skin. With a bowl, you take warm mud from the spring and put it on your body. After a while, you rinse off the mud and you are left with soft skin.

These hot springs are a relaxed and peaceful place. You usually only encounter few tourists here. Unlike the Ciater springs, no tourist park has been built. The place is maintained by the community of the surrounding villages.

Suspension bridge

A spectacular suspension bridge was built near the hot springs in 2022.
The bridge is more than 75 meters high and offers a beautiful view over the valley, the forest and the hot springs.
If you have a fear of heights, the bridge is a bit wobbly, but the experience is unforgettable.
With a length of 370 meters, the bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Southeast Asia.
In the photo on the right you can see the hot springs in the forest, seen from the bridge. The steam you see is the steam from the hot water.
You can also slide over the valley in a chair on a cable.

Next to the bridge you can eat delicious food, which completes the experience.
